How auction values are calculated

Each player's auction dollar value is derived from their VBD (Value Based Drafting) score, which measures projected fantasy points above the replacement-level starter at their position. A replacement-level player is defined by your league's roster settings. In a 12-team league with 2 RB slots, the 24th-ranked RB is the replacement level.

Once every player has a VBD score, the total league budget (teams × per-team budget) is distributed proportionally. Players with higher VBD receive a larger share of the dollar pool; players near or below replacement level are assigned the $1 minimum. The inflation slider lets you model real-world bidding behavior where early picks drive prices above baseline projections.

Projections are powered by machine learning models trained on 16 seasons (2010-2025) of NFL data, incorporating advanced metrics from Next Gen Stats and Pro Football Reference. Volume-based features (targets, touches, snap share) are the strongest predictors across all positions.
